The project focuses in part on the concept of ‘obligations’ under law in the context of private influence over public international law, assumed definitions of ‘value’, and the conceptual boundaries of law in global supply chains.

Bowring’s Legacies

An inquiry into the present implications of the 1855 Bowring Treaty between Great Britain and present-day Thailand, particularly its provisions on extraterritoriality and taxation.
